Airios is looking for an embedded software engineer to join our R&D team in Veldhoven, The Netherlands.

Our products and systems are developed by multidisciplinary project teams of hardware and software engineers. As a embedded software engineer, you will report to the R&D manager of Airios. You will work in the R&D team consisting of over 20 architects, soft- and hardware engineers and organized in several scrum teams. We use agile methodologies and tools. The teams usually work on various activities at the same time, both new product development and maintenance on existing products.

What you will do

As a embedded software engineer at Airios, you:

- are part of a scrum team consisting of 6 to 8 software developers, working in a two week sprint cycle.

- design software solutions for our products based on the user stories.

- implement the stories and design in working code.

- design and implement unit, integration and system test code.

- together with the hardware team verify the hardware/software integration.

- debug and solve issues found in development and by our customers.

- participate in improving our tooling and continuous integration setup.

- take part in planning and backlog refinement meetings.

Education and experience

We are looking for a software engineer with the following experience:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering study, such as computer science, electrical engineering or mathematics.

- A minimum of three years of experience in a comparable embedded software working environment. You are experienced in programming in C and preferably have knowledge of and experience in C#, Python or JavaScript.

- Embedded design incorporating sensors, connectivity and networking (Bluetooth, WiFi, NB-IoT, sub-GHz), IoT/Smart Home, and/or security.

- Working in an agile/scrum environment.

- Experience with automated test development for embedded software is preferred.

- Experience in climate and ventilation systems is preferred.
